ClaudeBuddy.net is the community-driven encyclopedia built specifically for Claude Code's /buddy pet system. We are not affiliated with Anthropic in any way — this is an independent project built by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts. Our goal is straightforward: provide the most complete, accurate, and up-to-date Claude Buddy information available, completely free, ad-free, and open to everyone.

The site covers all 18 species, 5 rarity tiers, 8 hat styles, stat calculation formulas, command references, and every community-discovered technique. Whether you're just getting started or hunting for a Legendary buddy, we have the information you need.

Claude Buddy is a virtual pet built directly into the Claude Code CLI — think of it as a Terminal Tamagotchi. When you type /buddy in Claude Code, the system deterministically assigns you a pet based on your account UUID.

There are currently 18 species available across 5 rarity tiers: Common (60%), Uncommon (25%), Rare (10%), Epic (4%), and Legendary (1%). Each buddy has unique stat values and personality traits, and non-Common buddies can earn cosmetic hats. You can feed, play with, and name your buddy, building a unique AI pet companion.

When the Claude Buddy system was discovered in the source code by the community in March 2026, there was no official documentation. Information was fragmented across Reddit threads, GitHub READMEs, and scattered blog posts. Want to know the rarity weights? Dig through source code. Want to understand stat formulas? Search Reddit. Want to see which hats exist? Ask around.

We believed there should be one place that brings all this information together — verified, organized, and continuously updated. So we built ClaudeBuddy.net, giving everyone a single destination for everything Claude Buddy.

All data is sourced from actual Claude Code source code analysis. We don't rely on guesswork or hearsay — every number, every probability, every formula is verified against the source. The species roster, rarity weights, stat calculation algorithms, and hat assignment logic are all extracted directly from the codebase.

We cross-reference with community discoveries and update whenever the system changes. Each time Claude Code ships a new version, we check for buddy-related changes and ensure our site stays accurate. Every piece of data you see here is backed by source code evidence.

ClaudeBuddy.net is available in English and Traditional Chinese (zh-TW). Both languages feature fully human-written content — these are not machine-translated outputs. We chose Traditional Chinese because Taiwan and Hong Kong have active Claude Code user communities, and they deserve native-quality content.

Every page, guide, and FAQ entry has a complete bilingual version. Switching languages never loses information — the Chinese version contains the same depth and detail as the English version.

ClaudeBuddy.net is built with Next.js and deployed on Cloudflare Workers, ensuring fast load times for visitors worldwide. The site design uses a "Warm Terminal" aesthetic that blends Claude brand tones with terminal-inspired visuals.
